Can you crack Office 2021 or 365 passwords?

Yes — we attempt recovery on all modern Office versions including 2021 and Microsoft 365. These use AES-256 which is strong, so success depends on password complexity. Short, common, or pattern-based passwords are frequently recovered. Long random passwords may not be feasible.

How is Office 2021 different from Office 2003 for password recovery?

Dramatically different. Office 97-2003 used 40-bit RC4 — completely broken, 100% guaranteed recovery. Office 2007+ switched to AES-128/256 which is fundamentally stronger. We can still recover many passwords through sophisticated dictionary and rule-based GPU attacks, but it's no longer guaranteed.

Does Microsoft provide any official way to recover a lost Office password?

No. Microsoft explicitly states that they cannot recover lost document passwords and there is no backdoor. Professional GPU-based recovery services like ours are the main realistic option.
