    Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our password recovery service.

    How does password recovery work?+
Upload your encrypted file — no registration needed. Our system automatically identifies the encryption type and attempts to recover the password using multiple techniques tested against billions of candidate combinations. The initial check is always free. You are only charged if the password is successfully recovered.
    How long does recovery take?+
Many common passwords are recovered within minutes during the free check. For more complex passwords, recovery may take several hours as our system works through progressively more advanced techniques. Older 40-bit encryption (PDF created with Acrobat 3–5, Office 97–2003 files) is always recovered — typically within 5 minutes, 100% guaranteed.
What file types do you support?+
We support password-protected PDF files, Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx), Excel (.xls, .xlsx), and PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx) documents, as well as ZIP, RAR, and 7z archives. For older Office 97–2003 and PDF Acrobat 3–5 files with 40-bit encryption, recovery is mathematically guaranteed.
    Is my file safe?+
Yes. Files are transmitted over HTTPS and processed in an isolated environment. Only the encrypted hash — not the file contents — is used during recovery. All uploaded files are automatically and permanently deleted within 24 hours. We never store, read, or share your file contents with third parties.
    What is guaranteed recovery?+
Certain older file formats use 40-bit RC4 encryption, which can always be mathematically reversed regardless of password length or complexity. This includes PDF files created with Adobe Acrobat 3, 4, or 5, and Microsoft Office 97–2003 documents (.doc, .xls, .ppt). For these files, recovery is 100% guaranteed. You pay only after we deliver the recovered password.
What if the password is not found?+
You pay absolutely nothing. Our pricing is entirely success-based — if we cannot recover your password, the service is completely free. There are no hidden fees, no subscription charges, and no upfront costs. You only pay when you have your password in hand.
Do I need to register or create an account?+
No. There is no registration required. Simply upload your file, provide an email address to receive results, and you're done. We keep things as frictionless as possible.
    How does payment work?+
Payment is collected only after a password is successfully recovered. We accept major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT). You will receive a payment link by email once your password is found.
Can you recover passwords from any version of Office or PDF?+
We support all major versions. Older 40-bit encryption (Office 97–2003, Acrobat 3–5) is 100% guaranteed. Modern 128-bit and 256-bit AES encryption (Office 2007–2024, PDF Acrobat 6+) depends on password complexity — the free check covers the most common passwords instantly.
    Is password recovery legal?+
Yes, recovering a password from your own file is completely legal. Our service is intended solely for recovering access to files you own or are authorized to access. We do not assist with unauthorized access to third-party files or accounts.
