How to handle a locked PhonePe statement PDF

PhonePe transaction records and bank statements are not always the same document. We found no universal PhonePe PDF password rule in PhonePe's public official guidance, so this page does not present an unverified name, mobile-number or date-of-birth formula as fact.

Based on PhonePe's published UPI guidance

Start with the source of the PDF

PhonePe's UPI terms say completed transactions can be reviewed in the app's History section and in the linked bank-account statement. They also direct users to the issuing bank for records or statements relating to the bank account used for UPI.

If your PDF came from PhonePe, inspect the export confirmation, email body and help text supplied with that download. If it came from your bank, use the bank's instructions—not a PhonePe password guess.

    Identify which document you have

The file name alone is not enough. Confirm its creator and delivery channel before trying a password.

    1

    Check the PhonePe History section

Match the statement period and transactions to the records visible in the app. Use the transaction's support option for a specific payment problem.

    2

Inspect the PDF properties and email

Look for the author, subject, sender domain and password note. A renamed bank statement can still look like a PhonePe transaction report.

    3

Contact the issuing bank when appropriate

PhonePe's terms point users to the issuer for bank-account records and statements. Follow that bank's product-specific PDF instructions.

    Avoid these unsafe assumptions

Search results often repeat password patterns without identifying the issuer, app version or statement type.

Mobile number is assumed to be universal

Do not treat an unsourced mobile-number pattern as official. Check the instructions generated with your exact export.

UPI PIN is confused with a PDF password

Never enter or disclose a UPI PIN, OTP or device password to open a document or to obtain recovery support.

A bank statement is labelled as PhonePe

The underlying issuer may have generated the protected PDF even when the transactions were made through PhonePe.

When an authorised recovery check helps

Requesting a new export or bank statement is the safest first option. It may include current instructions and avoids spending time on a corrupt attachment.

If the only available authorised PDF remains locked, LostMyPassPro can run a free initial check. A verified result appears with proof and an exact INR price on your private status page before any payment decision.

PhonePe and bank transaction histories are financial data. Never upload someone else's report or share a UPI PIN, OTP, bank login, card PIN or CVV.
    Start free file check

Transparent local pricing after a result

Start with a free check. If your password or unlocked file is verified, the private status page shows proof and the exact price in rupees, including GST, before payment. No subscription and no charge for an unsuccessful Fast Check.

Use only for a file you own or are authorised to access.

    PhonePe statement password FAQ

Is there one official password for every PhonePe statement PDF?

We found no universal PDF password construction in PhonePe's public official guidance. Follow the instructions supplied with your exact export or by the issuing bank.

Are PhonePe History and my bank statement identical?

No. PhonePe records app transactions, while the issuing bank maintains the account statement. Their exported documents can differ.

Should I use my UPI PIN?

No. A UPI PIN authorises payments and must never be disclosed or used as a document-recovery credential.

Can a locked export be checked without upfront payment?

Yes. LostMyPassPro's initial check is free; a price is shown only after a verified result is available.
