How to open an ICICI statement PDF
ICICI publishes password guidance for particular statement products, but one formula should not be assumed for every ICICI document. Identify whether you have a credit-card, current-account or another statement before constructing the password.
ICICI credit-card e-statement rule
ICICI's credit-card FAQ says the statement password uses the first four letters of the name displayed on the credit card, followed by the cardholder's date and month of birth in DDMM format.
The FAQ says the password is case-sensitive, the name portion is lowercase, and special characters or spaces should not be included. ICICI gives suji0501 as an example for Sujit Sawant, born on 05 January.
Construct the password carefully
Use this rule only for the ICICI statement product described in the official FAQ.
Check the name printed on the card
Use the card display name, not necessarily the full account name or email greeting. Take the first four letters and enter them in lowercase.
Add date and month as DDMM
Use leading zeroes: 05 January becomes 0501. Do not add the birth year for the credit-card example published by ICICI.
Remove spaces and special characters
Follow the bank's case-sensitive format without a separator between the name and date portions.
When that format is not the right one
ICICI operates many products. A correct credit-card rule can still fail on a different ICICI PDF.
It is a current or business account
ICICI's current-account FAQ publishes a similar name plus DDMM rule and says corporate accounts use the incorporation date. Read the exact product page before applying it.
The embossed name is shorter or different
Use what is displayed on the relevant card and check the delivery email for handling of initials or unusual names.
It is not an ICICI-generated statement
A document downloaded from an aggregator, card partner or accounting platform may have its own encryption instructions.
If the official ICICI format fails
Download the statement again from ICICI Internet Banking or request it through the official support path described by the bank. This rules out a damaged email attachment and may provide fresh password instructions.
If your authorised file remains locked, a free LostMyPassPro check can test it without charging upfront. A successful result is shown with proof and a final INR price on the private status page before payment.
Transparent local pricing after a result
Start with a free check. If your password or unlocked file is verified, the private status page shows proof and the exact price in rupees, including GST, before payment. No subscription and no charge for an unsuccessful Fast Check.
Use only for a file you own or are authorised to access.
